Finally The Time Has Come! Test and Tune Kicks off Lernerville’s 2010 Season
Sarver, PA (March 20, 2010) After a winter of record proportions, Lernerville Speedway has finally kicked of the 2010 season with its first scheduled on-track event. For the second straight year, Lernerville’s Test and Tune practice session proved a great way for teams to shake off the rust and begin preparation for the upcoming 2010 Budweiser point season.
With over five dozen teams utilizing valuable track time, the best represented division by far was the Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman division. Many of Lernerville’s finest turned laps throughout the afternoon, led by such names as Joe Kelley, Wayne Carbo, Jim Fosnaught, Jason Fosnaught, Shawn Thorn, Paul Shreckengost, Bob Egley, Paul Petrovich, Brett McDonald, Corey McPherspon and Tim Bish all turned laps.
The Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints where represented by Lernerville’s most recent member of the century club Ed Lynch Jr. Along with Lynch, son of late model driver Herman Bertolini, Mike will join the ranks of 410’s this year, and take his chances at becoming the 2010 Rookie of the Year.
Drivers on hand from the Integra Shocks DIRTcar Late Models included, (but not limited to), Jared Miley, Denton Boyer, Michael Norris, John Garvin Jr., John Mollick, Keith Barbara, Clate Copeman, Jim Detman, Tommy Beck, Chad Valone, Ryan Christoff, Tim Burns, Rich Logan, Brandon Wearing, and Ray Kroll.
Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modified drivers on hand included 2009 Budweiser Points champion Jeremiah Shingledecker, Kevin Bolland, Steve Feder, and Kevin Green.
Finally, completing the list of the Charapp 28 DIRTcar Sportsman drivers where Travis and Chip Walsh, Bob Nelson, Mike Duritsky, Mark Sanders, Joe King, and Jeff Miller.
Also Pro/Crate Late Models drivers included Mike Pegher, Sean Puz, Tommy Dembowski, Kevin Smith, Josh Holtgraver, Jason Fosnaught, Shawn Schaltenbrand, Danny Karalagas, Bud Watson, Jamie Brown and Jason Dietz.
Next Friday March 26th, Lernerville drops the green flag on Opening Night of Fab Four Racing. Customary to previous year’s, Opening Night is a non-point night! But don’t let that detour you away as the racing will be as fierce as ever; Pits open at 4 pm, Grandstands at 5pm, and Racing at 7:30 pm.
