TALLADEGA SHORT TRACK ANNOUNCES “RED FARMER CLASSIC”

Eastaboga, AL (March 25, 2010) – Talladega Short Track officials, today, announced a revision to a race scheduled for May 15th at the 1/3 mile clay oval.

The race was originally scheduled to be “Red Farmer Night” on Saturday May 15th, but has now been changed to the “Red Farmer Classic” and will now be held on Friday May 14th and Saturday May 15th.

The race will be highlighted by a 97 lap feature event paying $9,700 to win in the Super Late Model division.

Friday May 14th will feature two (2) laps of qualifying setting the line-up for the heat races which will also be ran on Friday Night.

Saturday Night May 15th will then feature consolation races (if needed) and the ninety-seven (97) lap feature event.

Arrive early on Saturday, as we honor the Legend Red Farmer with pre-race festivities scheduled to begin at 5PM.

Grandstand and Pit Gates will open at 3PM each day with racing scheduled to begin at 7PM.

On Thursday May 13th an open practice is scheduled from 7PM – 10PM.
