Bud Purkey Memorial at Mid America Speedway Postponed Until July 9th-10th

Buckner, MO (March 25th, 2010) - The Bud Purkey Memorial that had been originally scheduled for March 19th-20th and postponed once already has been postponed until July 9th-10th, 2010 "This ongoing rain has just made it impossible for us to get this show in at this time." stated MLRA Promoter Harriett Chancellor. The season opener for the Lucas Oil MLRA will now take place at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on Saturday April 3rd followed by the first of four visits in 2010 to the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday night April 10th. The Lucas Oil MLRA (Midwest Latemodel Racing Association) sanctions regional Super Dirt Late Model touring series events in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Iowa.

Mother Nature wins Opening Night! Budweiser Points start next week!

Sarver, PA (March 26, 2010) After overnight freezing precipitation and a bitterly cold forecast, Lernerville Speedway canceled Opening Night early Friday morning. The long range forecast is much more favorable for racing next weekend.

Due to the successful completion of the Test & Tune practice session last weekend, Budweiser Points will begin next Friday April 2 as scheduled. Next Friday Night will also feature an Easter Egg Extravaganza for the children as they come through the gates.

General Admission prices remain unchanged from 2009; Adults $14, Seniors $10, Students (ages 11-17) $7, and as always children under 10 are admitted FREE. Pit prices are $20 for DIRTcar members and $30 for non-members.

Pits and main gates open at 5:00. Hot laps begin at approximately 7:00, with heat race action following the National Anthem at 7:30 SHARP.
