The Inaugural Clash South Tour is set to invade Lancaster Motor Speedway Saturday, April 3

Wingate, NC.  The first race of the Inaugural Clash South Tour is set for this Saturday evening, April 3, at Lancaster Motor Speedway in Lancaster, SC. The Clash South Tour is in its first full year of operation and is expecting a great 2010 racing season. The Clash South Tour will consist of approximately 12 races this upcoming season throughout the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

In the Clash South Tour, drivers will have the option to run either American Racer or Hoosier Tires this season. American Racer tires allowed will be Spec SD 12, SD 48, and MD 56 and all AR tires must be stamped with JSR on the sidewall. Hoosier tires allowed will be Spec 1300, 1350, & 1600 (No steering tires allowed). No grooving and siping will be allowed and no tire softeners or conditioners will be allowed.

With just three compounds for each tire manufacturer, the competition will be on a very level playing field. The competition level has just risen through the roof with this announcement. Which tire manufacturer will come out on top Saturday evening at Lancaster, you will need to be there to see the finish. This season, the Clash South Tour will have a year to remember.

Along with the two tire manufacture’s, Officials for both the Carolina Clash and Clash South Tour have made the announcement that any driver who can win both Series Points Championships this year, will get a $10,000 bonus. If that happens, one lucky driver will walk away with $26,000 in his pocket. That’s an unprecedented amount of money and drivers will be coming out of the wood works for this season. Expect the unexpected this season and be on the lookout for many new faces coming into the Clash South Tour this year. It will truly be a year to remember and the season kicks off this Saturday, don’t miss a beat.

Drivers such as Freddy Smith, Petey Ivey, David Smith, Ricky Weeks, Rambo Franklin, Randle Chupp, Tim Allen, Dale Mcdowell, Jimmy Owens, and Steve Francis have all won at the track known as “The Fastest Half Mile in the South”. With the World of Outlaw late models and the Lucas Oil late models both being off this Saturday, who will show up for the first ever Clash South Tour race. Can we expect to see any of these drivers show up? You will have to be there to see for yourself.

$10,000 Bonus has been put up by the Carolina Clash and Clash South Tour

Officials for both the Carolina Clash and Clash South Tour have made the announcement that any driver who can win both series this year, will get a $10,000 bonus on top of both series championships and if that that happens, one lucky driver will walk away with $26,000 in his pocket. That’s an unprecedented amount of money and drivers will be coming out of the wood works for this season. Expect the unexpected this season and be on the lookout for many new faces coming into the Carolina Clash and Clash South Tour this year.

The winner of the Carolina Clash series championship will be awarded a $10,000 check at the yearend banquet at Charlotte Motorspeedway. The winner of the Clash South Tour will be awarded a $6,000 check at the end of the year. If one lucky driver is able to win both series, they will also receive the $10,000 bonus which sets the grand total at a whopping $26,000.

The Carolina Clash Series has 17 races this season and with two races already in, we see both Ricky Weeks and Jeff Smith tide for the top spot.

The Clash South Tour currently has 10 races scheduled for this season with the season opener taking place this Saturday evening at Lancaster Motorspeedway in Lancaster, SC. The Clash South Tour is looking to add possibly two more races to its schedule for a total of 12 races this year so please make sure to check out the website for any updates.
