MONTICELLO, KY (April 28, 2010) – Two time and defending Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial winner Victor Lee looks to make it three in row this Friday Night as the National All Star Racing Association presents the 11th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial at Ponderosa Speedway.
The National All Star Racing Association will make the first trip to the Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz promoted facility where they will present a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, b-mains, and the 40-lap, $3,000 to win 11th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial a-main. In 2008 the “Lincoln Leadfoot” became the 6th different winner of the Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial since the event was first held in 1999. In 2009 Lee would hold off charges from Justin Rattliff and Brad Neat after a late race caution with nine laps remaining to claim his second straight Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial title.
Lee’s last appearance at Ponderosa Speedway came on April 16 where he picked up a second place finish after heavy rain moved into the area and forced Officials to call the event after only 6 laps were completed.
