MSCCS TO INVADE JACKSON MOTOR SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

Byram, MS – The Superstars of Southern Dirt Late Model racing are headed to Jackson Motor Speedway this weekend for the first of two visits to the tight Ό paperclip located just South of Jackson, MS. Drivers from Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and Arkansas are expected to be on hand trying to capture the $2,500 first place prize money. Some of those drivers will be former MSCCS Champion David Breazeale, current MSCCS points leader Shep Lucas, Chad Thrash, Neil Baggett, Steve Bryan, Keith Miller, Brad Banes, Jimmy and Jason Cliburn, Joey Baroni, Lil’ Randy Thompson, Henry Cooper, Leon Henderson and others.

Jackson Motor Speedway has averaged over 20 Super Late Models for weekly racing events this year. With the great weekly car count that Jackson Motor Speedway has along with the traveling regulars of the MSCCS, the car count should be phenomenal. For this event the 8” spoiler rule will be in effect for all cars.

Along with the MSCCS Super Late Models, the Hawkins Automotive Super Streets, the Marble Enterprises/Franklin Paving Open Wheel Modifieds and the Whittington Heating and Cooling Pure Streets will all be in action.

Jeff Butler is coming off a win in round one of the Cooper’s Country Meat Packers Super Street Challenge held at Jackson Motor Speedway last Saturday night. Butler will back to see if he can keep his winning ways going in the Super Street division. Butler will have some strong competition on hand to challenge him for the win. Drivers Gerald Smith, Davin Nations, and Jimmy Lantrip are just a few that will try to pick up the feature event win.

Ryan Allday is undefeated at Jackson Motor Speedway in 2010 in the Marble Enterprises/Franklin Paving Open Wheel Modified division. But drivers Billy Collette, Michael Fuller, Jason Henry and Mike Hodge will be trying to hand Allday his first defeat of 2010. This division has been putting on some of the best races each week at Jackson Motor Speedway, from 3 wide finishes during heat races to door banging side by side racing in the feature events. You don’t want to miss these races; you never know what will happen.

The Whittington Heating and Cooling Pure Street division continues to grow each week at Jackson Motor Speedway. Tim Phillips is quickly making himself the targeted man for the win each week. But the lady drivers of Ms. Iris Williamson and Jennifer Cooper are continuing to inch closer and closer to the front. It is just a matter of time before the ladies hand the men a crushing defeat in the Pure Street division at Jackson Motor Speedway.

Jackson Motor Speedway would once again like to thank all the drivers and fans that came out last Saturday night. We had 93 cars signed in and one of the best crowds in a long time. We are hoping and expecting an even better turn out of fans and competitors for the MSCCS event this Saturday night. Also in attendance will be special race announcer Ben Shelton. One never knows what he will do.

On Saturday, May 15th, the pit gate opens at 4:00pm with the grandstand gates opening at 5:00pm. The driver’s meeting is slated for 5:45pm with racing action at 7:00pm. Grandstand admission is $15.00 for adults, kids 7-12 and seniors are $10, and kids 6 and under are Free.
Pit admission is $30.00.

A special thanks to all the Jackson Motor Speedway track sponsors and marketing partners. Please visit www.jacksonmotorspeedway.net to see all of our sponsors and PLEASE support them. The sponsors are what make it possible for us to enjoy the sport we all love so much.
