Bluegrass Speedway Adjusts Schedule a Bit for End of June and All of July

Bardstown, KY-June 17, 2010- Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell would like to announce the following adjustments to their 2010 racing schedule for the last Saturday of June and for the month of July.

On Saturday June 26, the 7th Annual Topless Terror Night for the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models will still take place, paying $1,000 to win for the Super Late Model division in action that evening with the roofs removed from the race cars. Also taking place on Saturday June 26 will be the 10th Annual Mod Squad Bash for the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner that was rained out back on May 15, with the UMP Modifieds competing for $1,500 to win. Of note for the UMP Modifieds, they will NOT race with the roofs removed from the cars on this night as has taken place in past seasons on Topless Terror Night. The WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman division will conclude the racing program on June 26, racing for $200 to win, while the UMP Street Stocks will have the night off. Originally scheduled as an evening when all racers signed in all divisions that make the A-Main would get first place track points, only the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models and WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman will see all racers in those two divisions that make the A-Main get first place track points.

Bluegrass Speedway was originally scheduled to be off for the July 4th Holiday Weekend and that will not change as the track will be closed on Saturday July 3.

The track will return to action on Saturday July 10 for the 12th Annual Kentuckiana Klash featuring the National All Star Racing Association, paying $5,000 to win for Super Late Models. Also in competition on Saturday July 10 will be the UMP Modifieds ($500 to win) and WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman ($200 to win), while the UMP Street Stocks will have the evening off. Of note for this event, all racers in the UMP Modified division that make the A-Main event on July 10 will receive first place track points.

The ½ mile high-banked clay oval will still be closed as originally scheduled on July 17 as the track will be closed on that evening for the 2010 Nelson County Fair, which neighbors Bluegrass Speedway.

On Saturday July 24, Bluegrass Speedway will return to action with the 10th Annual Bluegrass Rumble for the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner, paying $3,000 to win for the UMP Modified division that evening. Also in action on July 24 will be the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models ($1,000 to win) and the UMP Street Stocks ($100 to win). Also on July 24, it will be first place track points to all drivers in the UMP Street Stock division that make the A-Main for that evening.
