Richmond Raceway Set for 23rd “Butterball” Memorial this Sat. July 17; 50 laps-$5,000 to WinContact: Jeremy Shields (jumpstartcomm@live.com)
RICHMOND, KY—It’s come to be known as one of the must see events in Central Kentucky. Previously scheduled for June 11/12 but was postponed due to inclement weather, Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett will present the 23rd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial this Friday/Saturday July 16/17.
A Test and Tune has again been scheduled for all classes and will take place on Friday Night July 16th, gates will open at 5:30 P.M. with practice from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Grandstand Admission on Friday Night will be FREE to those interested parties while a Pit Pass will go for $10.
Saturday Night July 17th will be a full program of racing for the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models with practice, time trials, qualifying heats, b-mains, and the $5,000 to win/$300 to start 23rd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial a-main. A full program for the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds is also on tap for Saturday Night July 17th while the Sportsman and Road Hog divisions will pill draw for heat race starting assignments.
Activities for Saturday July 17th will get underway with gates opening at 3:30 P.M. followed by a mandatory drivers meeting at 6:00 P.M. Practice will begin at 6:30 P.M. with time trials immediately following at or before 7:15 P.M. Ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $18 on Saturday July 17th while a pit pass will go for $35.
Hooters of Richmond will be on hand with many giveaways and other promotions. Photos with the girls will also be available for purchase.
The Medley Boys will be in concert beginning at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday July 17th behind the main grandstand area. Further information on the Medley Boys can be obtained by visiting

A note to those Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Model drivers competing in this weekend’s “Butterball” Memorial, RACEceivers will be MANDITATORY all night on Saturday, July 17th. This does include practice, time trials, qualifying heats, b-mains, and the a-main.
