TWO POINT RACES ADDED TO THE 2010 NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS NATIONAL SCHEDULECARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has added two point events to the 2010 National Touring schedule at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS as a part of the 9th Annual Possum Town Grand Prix with a pair of 40-lap $2,000-to-win races on November 26 and 27. These will be the final two point races to make for a Championship Weekend.
The 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Champion will be crowned during the Possum Town Grand Prix weekend at Columbus Speedway. The 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Champion will receive $20,000 out of the series point fund.
The dates have been added by the series to make up for early season rainouts, and now brings the number of races in the 2010 season back up to 23. NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS officials may try to add another date to bring the number of races back up to the originally set number of 24 events.
In addition to the two NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National point races, the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Invitational Race is still scheduled for the Possum Town Grand Prix at Columbus Speedway on November 27.
The top ten drivers from the East and West Regions of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series and the top ten drivers, excluding top ten Regional drivers, from each NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series track will receive invitations to the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Invitational Race.
