Racing Returns Under New Promotion at Ponderosa Speedway This Friday August 13Junction City, KY- August 8, 2010- After being idle the past two weekends, Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY will return with racing action at “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday August 13 and it will be the first event under new track promoters Donnie Sullivan and family at the 3/8 mile.
The first night of racing competition presented by the Sullivan family as promoters of Ponderosa Speedway will take place on Friday August 13. The Friday August 13 racing program will feature a full program of weekly racing series competition for the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models ($1,000 to win), Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models ($600 to win), Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds ($600 to win), and D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman ($300 to win).
New track promoters Donnie Sullivan, along with wife Angie and son Donnie, Jr., are also planning several door prizes and giveaways to the race fans, along with a select number of bicycles to some children on August 13 to celebrate their first night as the new track promoters and have reduced adult general admission to just $10.
Activities for the Friday August 13 event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area opening at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed by practice getting underway at 7:15 p.m. Time trials will start at 7:45 p.m., with the first race set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times listed are EDT. Ticket prices for the August 13 event in the general admission area will be $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under age 6 are free, while a pit pass will be $25.

Ponderosa Speedway is located just off of 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
