Tiny Lund Memorial this weekend at Shelby County Speedway

HARLAN, Iowa (Sept. 13) – Shelby County Speedway’s 19th annual Tiny Lund Memorial Nation­als boasts six IMCA divisions and a purse of more than $50,000 this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17-18.

The Modified feature pays $3,000 to win and is a quali­fying event for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Late Models race for $2,500 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $2,000 to win, Karl Chevrolet North­ern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks both for $1,000 and the Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $500.

National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded to Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers. National and state points are at stake in the Northern SportMod and Sport Compact divisions.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and Friday’s program of heat races for all divisions and pole dashes for Modifieds, Late Models and Stock Cars follows the 7 p.m. drivers’ meeting. Pit passes are $25 and grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $6 for stu­dents.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday with the 6 p.m. drivers’ meeting preceding last chance features and the main events. Pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students.

Two-day adult grandstand passes are $20. Kids ages 10 and under get in free both nights.

Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 19. Camping and shower fa­cilities will be available on the fairgrounds.
