Kyle Beard Runs The Alphabet in 21st Annual Magnolia State 100; JMS Next

Trumann, AR (09/30/10) – Even though he had to do it the hard way, Kyle Beard recorded his best ever finish in a major Super Late Model event in his #86 Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model in the 21st Annual Premier Ford Magnolia State 100.

Beard Motorsports entered the 21st Annual Premier Ford Magnolia State 100 over the weekend at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). The weekend started by seeing Kyle qualify second fastest in his group to earn the second starting spot for his heat race. Beard was running second early in the event behind Shane Clanton, when unbelievably bad luck struck again as the radiator came loose and got into the fan forcing him to the pits. The team initially decided to skip the balance of the weekend's program, but changed their minds late Saturday afternoon. Despite being behind the eight ball, Kyle would put on a driving demonstration on Saturday night. In the b-main, he started at the back of the pack, and raced his way up to a seventh place finish to earn a spot in the last chance dash. In the last chance dash, Kyle started 13th, and powered his way to the second and final transfer spot to the cheers of an enthusiastic crowd.

In the main event, Beard would start 26th on the grid and began marching forward at the drop of the green flag. By lap twenty he was up 14th, and over the remainder of the event he battled to a very solid 8th place finish!

For the upcoming weekend, Beard Motorsports will travel to Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi for the 1st Annual Mississippi State Championship on Saturday, October 2nd. The event will be headlined by a 50 lap, $3,000 to win/$300 to start event, which will see the Super Late Models racing topless and will be sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS).
