Scott James Readies for Annual Trip to Knoxville for Knoxville Late Model Nationals

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  The "Silver Shark" Scott James and his #83 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on September 24-25 for the 31st Annual ' Jackson 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the premier Midwestern event and a $20,000 payday was on the line.

Scott started off his weekend by posting the fifteenth fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session on Friday night. Unfortunately for the Bright, Indiana driver, he was narrowly unable to transfer into the 100-lap 'Jackson 100' on Saturday evening after finishing seventh in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. Up next for the Scott James Motorsports team will be a trip to the legendary Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from September 30-October 2 for the 7th Annual ‘Knoxville Late Model Nationals.’  The three-day program includes $7,000 to win preliminary features on Thursday and Friday, while the huge weekend will conclude on Saturday with the $40,000 to win, 100-lap ‘Knoxville Late Model Nationals.’  The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand throughout the weekend at Knoxville to tape the action for broadcast in a matter of weeks.  Additional information on the 1/2-mile Marion County fairgrounds complex can be viewed online at www.knoxvilleraceway.com.
