Klint Byars Scores Third at Whynot; Fall Classic This Weekend

Carrollton, Mississippi (10/19/10) –Klint Byars powered his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model to a strong third place finish on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park.

After a few weeks away from action as the team waited to have their primary motor freshened, Klint was back in action on Saturday night, October 16th at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) as the team entered a $1,000 to win, tune-up event for the upcoming weekend's 16th Annual Fall Classic. Twenty-three Super Late Models signed in for battled at the racy, clay oval and after advancing to a second place finish in heat race action, Byars started fourth in the feature event. With a talented field of competitors on hand, Byars would run in the top five for the duration of the event before recording a third place finish behind event winner, Chad Thrash, and Ronny Lee Hollingsworth.

This weekend Byars will return to Whynot Motorsports Park for the 16th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic. Byars has enjoyed considerable success at the racy oval, and qualified for the main event in 2009 as he charged from 22nd to 12th in the final rundown. This year’s event will pay $15,000 to win and $1,000 to start, and Byars will be looking for the biggest win of the career. The weekend’s festivities open with an Open Practice Session on Thursday with time trials and heat race action on Friday. Saturday will be headlined by b-mains and the 100 lap finale.
