Scott James Eyes Fall 50 at Florence Speedway this Weekend(BRIGHT, INDIANA) The Scott James Motorsports team made a last minute decision to invade the 5/8-mile West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia on October 15-16 for the 30th Annual 'Dirt Track World Championship.' A field of 53 competitors converged on "The Speedplant" over the weekend and all eyes were fixed on the $50,000 top prize.
Scott James laid down the forty-seventh fastest lap during the qualifying session on Friday night due to a battery problem and later finished tenth in his stacked heat race. Scott chose not to return to compete in his B-Main on Saturday evening and therefore missed out on the 100-lap main event. Full results from WVMS can be found by clicking on

Next up for the #83 team will be a trip to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky this Saturday, October 23 for the ‘Fall 50.’ The track’s season closing event will be unsanctioned and will feature a $5,000 winner’s check. A complete show will be held at the 1/2-mile, high-banked oval and the action will be headlined by a 50-lap main event. Additional information on the ‘Fall 50’ program can be located online at
