Mark your calendars!
The 2011 Lernerville Speedway schedule is starting to take shape

Sarver, PA (November 2, 2010) The 2010 season is in the books, but it’s already time to start looking ahead to 2011! As always, the Lernerville Speedway will host Fab Four Racing every Friday Night from the last Friday in March until the weekend before Labor Day! The 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XX will highlight another action packed slate of DIRTcar Racing competition!

But before the 2011 can start, we need to wrap up the 2010 season at the Annual Awards Banquet. 2010 Budweiser Track Champions Danny Holtgraver (Ti22 Sprints), Dave Hess Jr. (DIRTcar Lates), Kevin Bolland (Diehl Mods) and Joe Kelley (Charapp 28 Sportsman) will be honored on Saturday, February 26 at the Days Inn on Route 8 in Butler. The 2011 Hall of Fame Class will also be inducted at the banquet.

For the next two weekends after that, the stars of Fab Four Racing will take to the local malls to show off their new rides and looks for the 2011 season. The Clearview Mall will host the Lernerville Car Show on the weekend of March 4-6, then the traveling road show heads south to the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills on March 11-13.

The green flag will fly on the 2011 on Friday, March 25 for Opening Night 2011.

The 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 23-24-25.

2011 will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup. The Silver Cup XX for the World of Outlaws Sprints is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19.

The Outlaws will be back on Saturday, September 24 for the Commonwealth Clash.

And the 2011 season will see the checkered flag once again at the three-day DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, October 20-21-22.

Other dates are still in the works and the complete 2011 schedule will be released in the near future. The keep up to date with the 2011 goings on at Lernerville Speedway, you can log on to www.Lernerville.com, follow us on Twitter @Lernerville, or find us on Facebook.

One for the Record Books!
The 2010 Fab Four Racing Season Review

Sarver, PA (November 2, 2010) The wildly successful DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede brought the 2010 Lernerville Speedway season to an end two weekends ago with over 300 cars in competition and 10 feature winners walking away with the unique Steel City Stampede belt buckle and plate. Even before the 90 enduros pushed the weekend car count over 300, history had been made on Friday Night when the infield was turned into an impromptu pit area for the first time in the 40+ year history of Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway as 222 cars registered for heat race competition.

Over the course of the 2010 season at The Action Track, history was made in each of the Fab Four divisions. In the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprint Car division, 20 year old Danny Holtgraver became the youngest Track Champion in the storied division. The list of Sprint Car Track Chamapions at Lernerville Speedway includes the likes of Hall of Famers Lou Blaney, Ralph Quarterson and Brad Doty, locals turned travelers Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney, as well as future Hall of Famers Ed Lynch Jr., Rod George and Bob Felmlee.

Despite suffering through a season of miserable luck, Ed Lynch Jr. but managed to add four wins to his all time division leading total; bringing his career total to 105 in sprint cars and 106 overall.

In the DIRTcar Late Models, Dave Hess Jr. joined his father as only the eighth father-son combination to win Track Championships. Others in that elite club include Bob Wearing Sr. and Jr., Lou and Dale Blaney, Ed Lynch Sr. and Jr., Carl and Dave Murdick, Carl and Craig Rankin, Ed and Alex Ferree, and Pee Wee and Mark Flick. Hess had a rock solid season, winning four features and finished in the top four every race until mid-July!

In the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds, Kevin Bolland won his third career Lernerville Speedway Track championship. He also surpassed the 50 wins mark during the 2010 season, becoming just the 10th driver in Lernerville Speedway history to do so. Winning four features this season, Revin’ Kevin’s career total now sits at 51 features at Lernerville Speedway.

Bolland’s longtime rival Brian Swartzlander also made history this season by winning five features in the Diehl Mods, tying the late, great Lou Blaney with 69 for the All Time division lead. Swartzlander had a strong second half of the season after rolling out a brand new chassis and is poised to make another title run in 2011.

“Super Joe” Kelley won an astounding 10 features at Lernerville Speedway in 2010, including the $1,000 Steel City Stampede feature. His nine Fab Four wins set his already division leading feature tally at 41 and clinched his sixth Track Championship by mid-August.

The 2010 season also saw the emergence of third generation driver A.J. Flick. Grandson of Hall of Famer Pee Wee Flick and son of former Modified Track Champion Mark Flick, A.J. had a strong second half of the season, winning two features and nearly scoring two others.

In addition to young guns Danny Holtgraver and A.J. Flick, veteran two-division driver Mike Miller won his first career feature at Lernerville Speedway on the final night of points.

Other 2010 Fab Four Feature winners include Jack Sodeman Jr. (2), Andy McKisson (2), Bob Felmlee, Carl Bowser and Brian Ellenberger in the Ti22 Sprints; Gregg Satterlee (4), Chub Frank (3), Alex Ferree, Matt Lux and Mike Johnson in the DIRTcar Late Models; Dave Murdick (4), Jeremiah Shingledecker (2) and Jim Weller Jr. in the Diehl Mods; and Bob Egley (3), Jason Fosnaught and Chris Schneider in the Charapp 28 Sportsman. Schneider also won the $2,000 Sportsman/Stock Spectacular during Autumn-Motive Fest.

As always, the Lernerville Speedway hosted a bevy of big ticket events in 2010, including the 4th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XIX Twin 30s.

The 2010 Firecracker weekend was a three-day show that saw Josh Richards and Tim McCreadie win preliminary A-Mains, while Brian Birkhofer won the Uncle Sam 30 and “The Georgia Bulldog” Shane Clanton won the $30,000 Firecracker 100 A-Main. Clanton came back in September to claim the $5,000 All Stars Dual in the Dirt A-Main. Robbie Blair won the April 30 ASLMS feature, while Gregg Satterlee won $3,000 in the DIRTcar Late Model Special in August and Jared Miley won $3,000 at the Steel City Stampede.

Donny Schatz claimed his third Silver Cup in July, while Lance Dewease and Joey Saldana won the Twin 30 features. Schatz came back in September to win the World of Outlaws Commonwealth Clash in dominant fashion. Former Track Champions Dale Blaney (June) and Tim Shaffer (September) won $5,000 All Star Circuit of Champions features, while Rod George and Ed Lynch Jr. won $2,000 DIRTcar Challenger Sprint Series features. Dale Blaney also won the $3,000 Steel City Stampede/DIRTcar CSS finale.

The 2011 Lernerville Speedway schedule will be released in the near future and promises to be another loaded, action packed slate of DIRTcar’s Racing’s finest events.
