Peoples Draws First Blood in IceBowl XX Race of Champions 
Talladega Short Track regular Danny Peoples of Margaret, Alabama scored the first Super Late Model win of the very young season on Friday evening. Peoples led all 20 laps of the $1000 to win Ice Bowl XX Race of Champions - an invitational event amongst the 15 past Ice Bowl Super Late Model winners. Of the 15 drivers eligible to start 8 were in hand. Launching from his inside pole position, Peoples jumped ahead to an early advantage while fellow front-row starter Mike Head. Head slipped to third with Ackworth, Georgia's Frank Ingram grabbed the runner-up position. Defending Ice Bowl Champion Randall Walker fell from 4th to 7th by the race's end. Racing is scheduled to kick-off again Saturday morning at 12 o'clock Noon. Super Late Model action will include 2 lap time trials and heat races. Sunday's card will include Last Chance Qualifying Races and the 50 lap / $6000 to win feature.

Friday - Practice Sessions have been hot and heavy with plenty of cars in all divisions.
Somewhere around 55 Super Late Models have been on track for 2 sessions of practice thus far. Practice is set to conclude at 4:30 PM CST with the day's drivers meeting scheduled for 4:45.
The $1000 to win Race of Champions is set for later in the evening.
Past champions already on the grounds: Randall Walker, Ray Cook, Billy Mayo, Frank Ingram, Shane Clanton, Mike Head and Danny Peoples. And of course Ronnie Johnson is on his way.
