Richmond Raceway Adjusts Schedule a Bit for the 2011 Racing Season

RICHMOND, KY - Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett have adjusted the 2011 race schedule a bit for the months of August and September.

The 2nd Annual Sportsman Nationals that was set for August 20 has been moved up to August 6 to go along with the Back to School Extravaganza. The event will still pay $1,000 to win

the Sportsman division with Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, and Road Hogs also on the racing card that evening.

The S.T.A.R.S. Midwest Dirt Racing League (M.D.R.L) will now sanction the 2nd Annual Stars and Stripes 30 on September 3. Under the M.D.R.L banner, the event will now pay $3,000 to win/$300 to start the 40-lap main for Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models. The Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman, and Road Hogs will be in action on September 3. Further information will be released in the near future.

Richmond Raceway along with Mayhem Motorsports will have a booth at the 2nd Annual Kentucky Racers Swap Meet on January 22. Copies of the 2011 Schedule and Rulebook will be available and well as Officials from Richmond Raceway to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming season. Visit Mayhem Motorsports for all you racing needs to put the finishing touches on your machine before the season arrives.

The Swap Meet will be held at the Madison County Fairgrounds off Highway 52 East, just minutes from downtown Richmond. Sales will begin at 12 NOON and end at 6 PM.
