NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS RELEASES THE 2011 NATIONAL TOURING SCHEDULE

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has released its 2011 National Touring schedule. The schedule features 16 events at nine different tracks covering four different states. NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials are still working to add more events to the 2011 National Touring schedule.

The 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will open and conclude at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL. The season opens with a trio of races on February 24, 25, and 26. The February 24 and 25 events will each be 40 laps and pay $2,000-to-win. The season will end at the “Clay By The Bay” with the $10,000-to-win 100-lap 7th Annual World Championship Race on December 1-3.

Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN will host three $2,500-to-win 50-lap events with the first being on March 30, followed by races on May 14, and July 30. Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS will also host three races. The first two will be on April 8 and 9, and the third race will be a two-day $5,000-to-win 75-lap event on October 7-8.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will return to South Georgia in 2011, as the series will make its first appearance at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, GA on June 3 with a $2,000-to-win 40-lap event. The series returns to Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, GA on June 4 with a $2,500-to-win 50-lap race.

Penton Raceway in Penton, AL and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL will team up during the July 4th holiday weekend to host a pair of $2,500-to-win 50-lap races. Penton Raceway will host the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour on July 2, and the series moves to East Alabama Motor Speedway on July 3.

Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will present its 6th Annual Labor Day Bash for the NeSmith Smith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour with a two-day $5,000-to-win 75-lap event on September 2-3. Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS will close out the Labor Day holiday action on September 4 with a $2,000-to-win 40-lap event.

DELTA BOWL SPEEDWAY GOES ON 2011 NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS TOURING SCHEDULE

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Delta Bowl Speedway in Tunica, MS has been added to the 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring schedule with a two-day 75-lap $5,000-to-win show on April 22-23. The event will mark the first appearance for the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS Tour at Delta Bowl Speedway.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will compete in qualifying and heat races on Friday night, April 22 the will set the front part of the main event starting line-up. On Saturday night, April 23 the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS cars will run in the B-Main races and the 75-lap $5,000-to-win main event on the 1/3-mile high-banked clay oval.

“Delta Bowl Speedway has always been a hammer-down high speed track, which should make for some great racing with the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring cars,” NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Founder and Director Mike Vaughn said. “We’re looking forward to getting there and putting on a great show for the Northwest Mississippi and Memphis area race fans.”
