CHATTANOOGA AREA RACING VETERAN RICK HIXSON RACECAR SHOP FIRE

Hixson, TN (2/8/11) --- Veteran Chattanooga, Tennessee area racer Rick Hixson lost his racecar shop to a fire Tuesday afternoon. It is unknown the extent of the damages, but early estimates are in the $120,000 range. The 30+ year veteran of local dirt racing tracks like Cleveland Speedway and Boyd's Speedway (where he's a recent back to back Track Champion) escaped the shop uninjured. Hixson had both just finished in the Top-5 of the CABIN FEVER event two weeks ago, kicking off the 2011 racing season.
