MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA - Effective Wednesday February 23, 2011, Gary McClenan of McAlester, OK. has solidified a deal to take over majority ownership of Outlaw Motor Speedway. With the move McClenan will become the CEO of Raceway Enterprises which now owns Outlaw Motor Speedway. Jamie Benson of McAlester, OK. is the new the President and K.C. Webb of Salt Lake City, UT. is the new Vice- President. Eric Shannon of Muskogee, OK. is now the General Manger.
McClenan bought into Outlaw Motor Speedway with Danny Womack of Bixby, OK., January of 2010 and the two spilt the partnership. McClenan will now be the majority owner of the track. Womack will be retained as a racing consultant but not in a manager capacity.
"I have purchased the majority stock in Outlaw Motor Speedway and we are ready to move forward for 2011," said McClenan. "There are no ill feelings with Danny and I over this restructuring, we are both still friends. With him as a consultant, I can go and ask him advice as needed."
"We have some additional surprises for 2011 as we are going to re-address the schedule and some of our events for this season," added McClenan. "We will remain a NASCAR sanctioned racetrack in 2011 and have a meeting scheduled with NASCAR management in March."
