TALLADEGA SHORT TRACK KICKS OFF 34TH SEASON THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

Eastaboga, AL (March 22, 2011) – Talladega Short Track officials are gearing up for another exciting season of racing that starts with the 34th annual Season Opener this Saturday Night March 26th.

Two weeks ago, TST hosted a Pre-Season Thunder event, exciting all fans and drivers for the start of the new season. This Saturday Night it comes down to the nitty and gritty as the points officially begin.

Seven exciting divisions of racing will be hand again for the 2011 racing season, headlined by the ever popular ground pounding Super Late Models. Sportsman drivers will have the option to go “topless” in 2011 removing their roofs for a unique look inside as the drivers battle it out on the 1/3 mile red clay oval. Crate Late Models, Thundercars, Modifieds, Hot Shots and Street Stocks will all be in action.

Gates on Saturday open at 4PM with Hot Laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:30.

Adult grandstand admission is $10 with kids 9 and under admitted free.
