Opening Night 2011 version 2.0 at Lernerville SpeedwayBudweiser Points start this week for all division.
Are you ready for Fab Four Racing?
Sarver, PA (March 29, 2011) Despite temperatures being in the mid 70s on Friday, March 18, winter weather put the kibosh on Opening Night’s originally scheduled date last Friday, March 25 due to snow, sleet and high temps just above freezing. But such is life in Western PA and unfortunately this week’s forecast isn’t much warmer or drier. That said; Lernerville Speedway will take a second shot at Opening Night 2011 this Friday Night, April 1.
As scheduled, Budweiser Points will start this Friday Night as Danny Holtgraver in the Ti22 Sprints, Dave Hess Jr. in the Precise Late Models, Kevin Bolland in the Diehl Mods and Joe Kelley in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman start the long and winding road towards defending the 2010 Budweiser Track Championships. 2010 Runners-up Ed Lynch Jr. and Brian Swartzlander are poised to further pad their Hall of Resumes as Jared Miley guns for his first Lernerville Track Championship and Bob Egley tries to regain his championship form of 2008.
In the meantime, we’d like to invite drivers, car owners, crew members and race fans to be as prepared as possible for the start of the 2011 Fab Four Racing season by purchasing your 2011 DIRTcar Memberships online at
www.DIRTcarMembers.com or by call the speedway office at (724) 353-1511 during our new, expanded business hours 9:30AM-5:30PM. We’re staying open later for all your race day, race ticket and marketing needs!
We’d also like to invite the racing community to sign-up or renew your account at RainedOut.com to receive race day text message updates when the weather is tenuous! There is a link on our website, just click the brown box on the right-hand side of our webpage.
Fantasy Fab Four Racing is also opened up for registrations again this year. Chuck and Bill of Fantasy Dirt Racing have spent countless hours over the offseason updating the website and creating a racing community akin to Facebook. Click the “Fantasy Fab Four” tab on the left-hand side of our webpage to get started!
Speaking of Facebook, we are currently conducting a contest on our fanpage trying to reach 2011 “likes”. Once we reach 2011 likes, one of the 2011 friends will win two FREE tickets to Fab Four Racing! When you search Lernerville Speedway on Facebook.com, select the one titled as a “Sports Venue” and “like” it to be entered into the drawing!
After enjoying Opening Night 2011 at the Action Track on Friday Night, we’d also like to invite the racing community to attend and support the $5,000-to-win Sprint Car Shootout benefitting the Auto Racer for Kids Charities at Mercer Raceway Park this Saturday, April 2. Log on to
www.MercerRacewayPark.com for more details.
Lernerville Speedway’s Fab Four Racing will continue through the next three Friday Nights in April with the All Star Late Model Series rolling into Sarvertown to close out the month on Friday, April 29. The All Star Late Models co-sanctioned a race at Ocala, FL in February, but the “Showdown in Sarvertown” is the official start of the 2011 All Star Late Model Series season with two-time defending champion Robbie Blair poised to chase a third straight title. DIRTcar Pro (crate) Late Models and UMP Modifieds will share the card that night.
The pits and main gates open at 5:00 for Opening Night 2011 at Lernerville Speedway with hot laps set to begin at approximately 7:00. Heat race action will follow the National Anthem at 7:30 SHARP. Pit prices are $20 for DIRTcar members and $30 for non-members. General Admission prices remain unchanged from 2011; Adults $14, Seniors $10, Students (ages 11-17) $7, and as always children under 10 are admitted FREE! Think warm, dry thoughts and we’ll see you at the Action Track; Enjoy the Show!!
