Current Lucas Oil Late Model Championship Points Standings

WAYCROSS, GA (April 5, 2011) - Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have released the updated Lucas Oil Championship Points Standings following the event at Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, TX. Atop the current standings is Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN; who holds a five-point lead over Don O'Neal of Martinsville, IN in second; and a fifteen-point lead over Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN in third. Rounding out the top five are Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, IL and Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN.

The Bobby Labonte Motorsports entries of Earl Pearson Jr. and Brad Neat sit in sixth and seventh in the current standings. Neat, initially scored as finishing 20th at Lonestar Speedway was found to have earned the 13th position in the feature. Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR maintained a strong finish in the feature to keep himself 8th in points, tied with Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, GA. Quarter Master Rookie of the Race, Tyler Reddick of Corning, CA currently holds down the 10th spot in Lucas Oil Championship Points.
