NeSMITH CHEVROLET WEEKLY RACING SERIES WEEK 2 PREVIEW

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 2 of the 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will see 11 events on the schedule with six in the West Region and five in the Old Man’s Garage (OMG) East Region. There will also be bonus points up for grabs at the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring event at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS this Friday and Saturday nights.

Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR and Malden Speedway in Malden, MO will begin their NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region seasons this Friday night. Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS will also be in action this Friday night with NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region action.

Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS will open its NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region season this Saturday night. Also competing this Saturday night in the West Region will be Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS and Drew County Speedway in Monticello, AR. Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS leads the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region point standings.

There will be NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Regional Bonus Points up for grabs at the $5,000-to-win “Rumble On The Gumbo” 75 this Friday and Saturday nights for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS. Drivers that compete on both nights will receive 25 Bonus Points that will be added to their Best 14 Regional point totals.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Old Man’s Garage (OMG) East Region Week 2 action begins this Friday night with the season opener at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL. Saturday night Old Man’s Garage East Region Saturday night events are scheduled for Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL, New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA, Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

The 2008 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Old Man’s Garage (OMG) East Region Champion Adam Martin of Talladega, AL and Russ Ogletree of Phenix City, AL are tied for the point lead in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS OMG East Region standings.
