Flashback to the 70's $7.00 Admission and Cadet 'Frenzoid' at PPMSPITTSBURGH, PA - April 26, 2011- The 2011 racing season at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will continue this Saturday, April 30th as NAPA Auto Parts presents the "Blast Back to the 70's" Action Event featuring $7.00 Grandstand Admission. The six division card includes a full program for the Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models, Brougher's Machine Shop FASTRAK/Pro-Lates, Miley Truck and RV Rental DIRTcar UMP E-Mods, Sunoco Race Fuels DIRTCar Cadets, Miley BP Car Wash DIRTcar Hobby Stocks and Imperial Heights Garage DIRTcar Young Guns. This week's program will include the 25 lap "Cadet Frenzoid" feature event paying a $500.00 first place prize.
"If the weather reports are correct we are finally going to get a rain free weekend here in Western PA," commented Speedway Owner, Matt Miley. "We are looking forward to welcoming the Pittsburgh area NAPA Auto Parts employees, their families and their customers to "Dirt's Monster Half Mile. Their support of our events in 2010 was terrific and we are excited to have their events on our schedule again for this season."
Race fans in attendance this Saturday will pay just $7.00 for Grandstand Admission. In addition, fans who present $25.00 of qualifying retail NAPA Auto Parts receipts will receive FREE Grand Admission.
The 25 lap Cadet "Frenzoid" that was originally scheduled for last Saturday is also on the racing card. The event pays $500.00 to the winner and also features an "Open Tire" rule. "Since several of the other local speedways have special events scheduled for this weekend and the Cadets are not on their cards we are hopeful that a few visitors will make the trip to compete against our drivers," stated Miley. "Nick Kocuba captured the division's opening event on April 9th and Jake Simmons is the 2010 "Frenzoid" champion so we have some stout competitors here at Dirt's Monster half Mile."
Spectator and Pit Gates open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving at 7:00PM.
Race fans should be sure to check out the great variety of reasonably priced food items available at the Checkered Flag Food Court. Hot dogs, cotton candy, hot pretzels, Pizza Hut pizza and our giant and tasty chicken wings are just some of the delicious items available.
Fans are invited to bring their own refreshments however; no glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought in. Race fans over the age of 21 can purchase alcoholic beverages at Ed's Pub, which is located under the main grandstand. Ed's features all major brands of beer plus wine, mixed drinks, and energy drinks all at local tavern type pricing! In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or smaller.
