Scott James Earns Another Top Five at Lake Cumberland; Readies for Bardstown WOOLMS Show

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  The Riggs Motorsports team and driver Scott James had planned to travel to the Florence (KY) Speedway on Saturday, April 23, but Mother Nature chased them south to the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky.  The inaugural STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League (MDRL) Series event was held at LCS on Saturday and a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs.  

Scott finished second in his heat race, which locked him into the main event.  After starting fifth on the grid in the 40-lapper, the driver known as "The Silver Shark" hung around the front of the field throughout the race and eventually landed in the fourth finishing position behind only winner Justin Rattliff, Skylar Marlar, and Michael Chilton.  

Next up for the #81 team will be a trip to the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky this Saturday evening, April 30.  The ultra-competitive World of Outlaws Late Model Series will roll into the central Kentucky speedplant in three days time to sanction a $10,000 to win program.  The 9th Annual ‘My Old Kentucky Home Shootout’ is sure to bring a stout field of competitors to the 1/2-mile oval.
