Pepsi Night along with a Mother’s Day Special up Next at Central Missouri Speedway

by Alan Miller
(Warrensburg, MO) – Race fans and drivers were excited to start the 2011 racing season last weekend at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) and the fun continues this Saturday evening on Pepsi Night at the Races. Racing action returns at the ‘Fastest High Banked Clay Oval in the Midwest’ in four highly competitive divisions, including the ‘mighty’ modifieds, ULMA late models, street stocks, and b-modifieds. Each week at CMS, pit gates open at 4:30 p.m., front and back-side grandstand admission gates open at 5, with hot-laps starting at 7, and racing on the track at 7:30.

Bring Mom and the kids out for a night of entertainment and family fun at CMS. This weekend includes a special discount rate admission for all Moms entering the stands. Admission for Mom is half price with a separate paid adult admission.

If last weekend was any indication of the close racing and tight finishes out of turn four, then race fans are in for a real treat this season. Both modified and late model feature races were tight with Jason Bodenhamer taking home a close victory in the modified feature with a last-lap pass around Chad Lyle to take home the trophy to celebrate in Waterloo Storage Products Victory Lane.

Kicking things off were the Brooks Automotive B-Mods and it was a determined Jacob Ebert from Oak Grove taking his first feature win of the year. And in the Eickleberry Concrete, Expressways Food Shop, Brooks Automotive street stocks feature, Jimmy Morris out of Blue Springs, returned to victory circle with a convincing win in the main event.

Next up were the Rod End Supply, Bodee’s Race Bodies, B&D Transmission, All-American Auto ULMA Late Models with Jason Bodenhamer from Centerview, in the Derek Nevels-owned late model for his first feature victory this season. Finishing up the night were the Beebe Heating & Cooling, Seeburg Mufflers, Cornerstone Agency, Dale’s Towing Modifieds. Once again, Bodenhamer completed his daily double and grabbed the final event with his second win of the night and his first modified trophy of the year in the Vic Austin-owned machine.
