Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event at PIR PostponedWAYCROSS, GA (May 4, 2011) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Paducah International Raceway officials are announcing the rescheduling of the race scheduled for May 7th at P.I.R., due to severe flooding of the Ohio River and the surrounding areas. The racetrack is completely submerged under water and several roads leading to the track are still flooded and remain closed.
This race is now rescheduled for Thursday, September 22nd. Further information regarding this event will be available at

"Our hearts go out to the people of Paducah. This is just catastrophic," stated series director Ritchie Lewis. "Right now these people need everyone's help and compassion."
Over the past week, the Ohio River has seen severe flooding in the area. The National Guard is present and attempting to help the many families that have already been evacuated.
"Please remember the people of Paducah, Kentucky and their region affected by these incredible storms in your thoughts and prayers", stated Lewis.
