Davenport Speedway Season Opener ….. take two

DAVENPORT, Ia. (May 5, 2011) – The Davenport Speedway will once again try to kick off the 2011 racing season, this Friday, May 6th with the running of the Koehler Electric Season Opener. The event was originally scheduled for April 22nd, but was rained out.

The exciting weekly stock car racing action takes place on a quarter-mile, banked dirt oval. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.

All four weekly classes will be in action: IMCA Late Model, Street Stock, IMCA Modified, and 4 Stocks.

Pit gates at The Davenport Speedway open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm.
