Scott Creel Concludes The Weekend With A Sixth Place Finish At Cleveland Speedway

Franklinton, LA (May 9, 2011)- After a week off, Scott Creel and Voodoo Motorsports traveled to Tennessee to compete in the $5,000-to-win Mountain Mayhem Shootout at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN on Friday and the $3,000-to-win Tennessee Spring Fling at Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, TN on Saturday.

After qualifying 18th overall, Scott started on the pole of the B-main, where he finished second to transfer into the $5,000-to-win Mountain Mayhem Shootout.  Scott finished 20th after retiring to the pits with a flat tire on the right front.  Originally scheduled to travel to Tazewell Speedway, Scott made the decision to go to Cleveland Speedway instead.

Saturday night got underway in Cleveland with Scott qualifying second overall with a 13.50 and starting on the pole of the second heat race.  He would battle with Brian Reese for the entire heat race.  After his second place finish, Scott would start fifth in the 40-lap $3,000-to-win Tennessee Spring Fling.  Scott ended the night with a 6th place finish in the A-main which saw many cautions throughout the race.

Prior to the A-main Saturday night, Scott and all of the super late model drivers passed their helmets through the grandstands taking donation for a local couple whose home had been destroyed by the deadly tornados a week before.  Over $7,000 was collected for Betty and Jerry Morris of Cleveland, who have been fixtures at Cleveland Speedway since the 1960s.

Scott and Voodoo Motorsports will travel to Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, MS this Saturday for the MSCCS event.  The new 2011 merchandise will be available at the hauler.  Follow @ScottCreel31PR on Twitter and Voo-Doo Motorsports on Facebook for live updates from the track.
