Vosbergen Wins 2010/2011 R2C Competition Filters Pro Dirt Series

LMRA Media
The 2010/2011 R2C Competition Filters Pro Dirt Series has been won by Craig Vosbergen, followed by Brad Blake 2nd, Jay Cardy 3rd and Brad Ludlow 4th place.

Craig Vosbergen survived and conquered an action packed 6 months filled with highs and lows, but still managed to finish on top. This is the second time in the Pro Dirt Series history, since it’s commencement in 2002, that Craig has taken out the Series, the first time was only a few years ago back in the 2007/2008 season.

Craig attended all fourteen rounds in the 2010/2011 R2C Competition Filters Pro Dirt Series, which started at Ellenbrook Speedway in October 2010 and concluded at Margaret River April 2011.

Vosbergen commitment and dedication to the R2C Series in the earlier part of the season, and consistently high finishing positions helped keep him near the top of the points ladder, as he did not actually win a round, until Round 11, in the picturesque southwest town of Albany, at Atwell Park Speedway, in February 2011.

After Vosbergen claimed the “King of the Ring”, it was clear the immaculately presented #8 Worldwide Construction Machinery/RACIN Tyres & Accessories Rocket had come into form.

Vosbergen continued his winning form in the mining town of Collie. Vosbergen qualified pole for the final event, after 2 wins and a 2nd in the heat races. Vosbergen lead the entire 35 laps, successfully claiming 2011 West Australian Dirt Late Model State Championship for the first time in his Late Model career.

Even with the final night of Round 15 R2C Competition Filters Pro Dirt Series at Margaret River Speedway on April 24 being cancelled because of rain, Vosbergen still would’ve been extremely hard to beat on the ladder as the 2nd on points, Brad Blake, was 100 points behind the leader.

Pro Dirt Late Model drivers are also welcome to join the Development Series, to test or improve setup/performance, or just to show case your car, but you will be ineligible to earn any points for the series.
