Hines hammers home ILMS Late Model win at Brownstown Speedway

BROWNSTOWN, Ind. - Jeremy Hines and Alan Magner led the ILMS feature to the green, with Hines leading lap one over Magner. Joe Godsey and Mark Barber battled for the third spot on lap three, with Godsey holding the advantage. Barber and Godsey swapped the third spot back and forth, with Godsey getting it back on lap four. The caution flew on the same lap for Keaton Streeval who had spun on the backstretch. On the restart, Hines shot out to the lead, as Barber and Magner battled for second. The caution flew again one lap later, as Mason Covey spun in turn one. When racing resumed Hines and Barber shot out to an advantage over the third place car of Marty O'Neal. With seven laps to go, Hines held a half straight lead over Barber, who had a four car length cushion over O'Neal. O'Neal nabbed second from Barber on lap 17. The caution flew with two laps to go as Streeval spun coming out of turn two. It would be a green, white, checker finish, with Hines able to pull away to lead the last two laps and take the win ahead of O'Neal. Barber, Shannon Reed, and Joe Godsey.
