8th Annual Governor's Cup at Magnolia Motor Speedway this Saturday

Columbus, Mississippi (05/31/10) – Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi is in action this Saturday, June 4th with the 8th Governor’s Cup Presented by Coca Cola.

Fresh off a barn-burner last weekend with the Southern All Stars Super Late Models, Magnolia Motor Speedway returns to action this Saturday, June 4th with the 8th Annual Governor’s Cup Present by Coca Cola featuring the RockAuto.com Super Late Models battling in a 50 lap, $5,000 to win. The event will be sanctioned by the PRO Dirt Car Series Super Late Models, and will see the touring drivers going head-to-head with a talented field of regional and local hot shoes.

Also in action will be the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series Crate Late Models, Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks, who will all be battling for additional money. NeSmith Late Models will compete for at least $700 to Win $40 to Start, Street Stocks for at least $400 to Win $40 to Start, and Mini Stocks for at least $200 to Win $40 to Start.

An Open Practice Session will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 7pm - 10pm. Pit admission is $15 and grandstand admission is free.

On Saturday, June 4th the pit gate opens at 3pm with the grandstand gates opening at 5pm. The driver’s meeting is slated for 6:30pm with action at 7:00pm. Grandstand admission is $20.00 and kids 10 and under are free. Pit admission is $35.00 for adults with children (6-10 years of age) $25, and 5 & under free.

Trackside parking is $10.00 in any unreserved spot.
