MARS and CCSDS Go Head to Head for Firecracker Shootout

The MARS DIRTcar Series and the Arkansas based COMP Cams Super Dirt Series or CCSDS will go head to head this July 4th weekend for a FIRECRACKER SHOOTOUT! July 1st and 2nd will be at the West Plains Speedway in West Plains, MO and July 3rd will be at the Monett Speedway in Monett, MO.

An incredible field of super dirt late model drivers are scheduled to be on hand for this triple header, including 6 time and defending MARS champion Terry Phillips, current MARS point leader Brad Looney, Jeremy Payne, Brandon McCormick, Tony Jackson Jr., Jesse Stovall, RC Whitwell, Leroy Johnson, Wendell Wallace, Justin Asplin, 5 time MARS champion and defending CCSDS champion Bill Frye, current CCSDS point leader Kyle Beard, Jon Kirby, Jeff Sloan, Wesley Crutchfield, Terry Henson, Dewaine Hottinger, Jon Mitchell, Johnny Virden, Billy Moyer Jr., Austin Rettig, Clay Fisher, Brandon Smith, Allen Murray, Curtis Cook, Ian Samuel, Shane Harris, Keith Lawson and more.

Tire rule for this weekend: LM40, WRS55, Spec 1600 BACK ONLY, Economy 1600 FRONT ONLY
All the action gets underway Friday July 1st with a two day show at the West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO and pays $2,000 to win and $300 to start. In addition to the Late Models, the track will also have a full show for the Hobby Stocks and the B-Mods and qualifying for the Super Stocks. Hot laps begin at 7:00pm with racing scheduled for 7:30pm. General admission is $15 for adults and $30 for a pit pass.

Saturday July 2nd will feature a $3,000 to win and $400 to start for the Late Models. Also racing will be a full program for the USRA A-Modifieds as well as last chance and feature races for the $5,000 to win Super Stock feature. After the races everyone one is invited to stay for a huge Fireworks Display. Hot laps will be at 7:00pm with racing scheduled for 7:30pm. General Admission is $15 and $35 for a pit pass.

On Sunday July 3rd the MARS and CCSDS Series will invade the Monett Speedway in Monett, MO for another $3,000 to win, $400 to start feature. The race card will also Midwest Modz, Sport Mods, Street Stocks, Legends and Pure Stocks. Gates open at 5:00pm, hotlaps at 7:00pm and racing set for 7:30pm.
