Big Weekend Double for NCRA Great Plains Late Model Region
David Smith Jr PARK CITY, Kansas (July 11) - Two big events are on tap for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Smiley’s Racing Products DIRTcar Great Plains late model region this coming Friday and Saturday night.
It all kicks off on Friday night at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas for the 55th annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals. The gladiators of the late model Great Plains region will highlight the night with a $1000 to win feature finale.
Then on Saturday night the tour will head north to Mid-Nebraska Speedway in Doniphan, Nebraska and join forces with the NCRA DIRTcar regular late model tour for the tenth annual NCRA Late Model Nationals, which pays $2500 to the nights feature finale winner.
Fresh off his first career series victory at the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas almost two weeks ago, Shelton, Nebraska driver Steve Kempt currently holds down the top spot for the Great Plains late model region.
Gates will open at 5:30 PM on Friday night with racing set to begin at 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission is $12 for adult ages eleven and up, $5 for ages six through ten.
