NDRA Road Show Headed to Lancaster Speedway July 30th

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The National Dirt Racing Association (NDRA) Road Show presented by Heintz Performance is set to tackle the historic Lancaster Speedway on Saturday night July 30th for the first time in 2011.

“Lancaster is truly a special kind of race track,” said NDRA’s Larry Lee. “The history alone makes it one of a kind but when you combine the speed that is produced at that big half-mile it makes it ever more special.”

Leading the charge will be 15-year-old Zack Mitchell. The Enoree, SC resident known throughout the racing community as “Kid Quick” is atop the point standings after securing his first win of 2011 at Friendship Speedway on July 16th.

Mitchell has garnered a top five finish in every event this season and will be looking to extend his point lead with another victory.

Rutherfordton, NC’s Steve Hendren is second in the points and has been fast at every event. Hendren charged from the rear to a seventh place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway then backed that up with a runner-up finish at Carolina Speedway a few weeks later. Hendren came home third at Friendship is certain to be a factor at Lancaster.

Ron Parker’s second place finish at Friendship got him back in the mix for the Road Show title. Parker picked up the opening round win at Charlotte Motor Speedway and has a lot of experience at Lancaster.
