Hollingsworth tops MSCCS main event at Whynot Motorsports Park

MERIDIAN, Miss. (July 30) - "Right Foot" Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth of Tuscaloosa, started seventh in the 50 lap Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series feature race and battled all the way to the end and held off "The Intimigator" Chris Wall of Holden, LA and "The Ragin Rebel" David Breazeale of Four Corners, at the finish to claim the $2500 top prize Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park.

MSCCS points leader, fast qualifyer (12.709) and Dash winner Klint Byars of Carrolton, battled door to door swapping the lead back and fourth with Chris Wall until just before the midway point as Byars would have to pit due to mechanical issues. At the midway point Hollingsworth and Breazeale would take their aim at race leader Wall, Hollingsworth took the lead from Wall in the final 10 laps of the race. David Breazeale looked to be the new leader with five laps to go until a caution came out for a stalled Anthony Burroughs on the back straightaway. On the restart Hollingsworth retained the lead as Wall pulled along side Hollingsworth many times in the final five laps. David Breazeale was also in the mix as he was right on their bumper at the finish. It was Hollingsworth's second win at Whynot following his PRO Dirt Car Series win back on July, 2nd. Wall finished second, Breazeale third, Steve Bryan of Collinsville fourth, and Keith Miller coming from 16th to finish fifth.
