A Fantastic Night with Danny Schlafer, Russ Scheffler, Matt Yancey, and Jeremy Hebel winning features

Manitowoc WI (August 19) – A unbearably hot day turned into a wonderful evening for a rescheduled Lakeside Pepsi Night at the Races, and welcoming Pennelopy's Pizza of Chilton as a new nightly sponsor.

Late Models
The Late Model Main would be led on to the track by Tom Naeyaert (Shawano) and Frank Geiger (Whitelaw), followed by Joe Schmidt (Kiel) and Randy Markwardt (Sheboygan). The first was for Jon Rogers (German Valley, IL) on Lap 2, and on Lap 3 for Turk Letizia (Milwaukee) and Eric Michaels (Cleveland). All drivers would return to the race. Through the cautions Naeyaert would continue to lead, followed by Scheffler, Geiger, Brett Swedberg (Shawano), and Markwardt. Lap 6 would bring a lead change as Scheffler got around Naeyaert for the lead, and Craig Schueffner (Sheboygan Falls), Tim Buhler (Glenbeulah), and Jim Schmidt (Cleveland) making moves through the middle of the pack.
