Klint Byars Claims Eighth Win of 2011

Carrollton, Mississippi (08/23/11) –Klint Byars piloted his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to his eighth win of the year by topping the action at Whynot Motorsports Park on Saturday night.

Another trip to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) turned into the eighth win of the season for Klint on Saturday night as he topped the $2,500-to-win, Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) event. After setting fast time in his group and overall, Byars started on the pole for the dash before finishing second to Jeremy Broadus.

As a result, Klint started outside front row, alongside Broadus, for the feature. Byars would quickly jumped to the lead in the feature and never looked back on his way to the triumph! The win came over Jason Cliburn, Scott Dedwylder, Scott Creel, and Jimmy Cliburn. The win was his fifth on the MSCCS tour in 2011, and further extended his advantage in the point's battle. In related news, Klint's Southern All Star Super Late Model Series, $5,000 win at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday, May 28th, which was originally taken away by the series due to allegations of tire treatment, was reinstated last week by the series after additional testing verified the legality of the tires.
