TERRY SMITH WINS “JERRY GOODWIN CHALLENGE” AT TALLADEGA

EASTABOGA, AL (August 27) – Terry Smith picked up the Super Latemodel feature event win in the “Jerry Goodwin Challenge” feature on Saturday Night at Talladega Short Track. The win was worth $2,200.

Jason Hiett finished in the second spot with Jason Wilson third. Tim Roszell finished fourth with Chris Jones rounding out the top five.

Dustin Stewart won the twenty-five lap Sportsman feature event over Adam Cummings in second and Joe Noojin in third.

Jimmy Elkins picked up the NeSmith Crate Latemodel feature event win over Brian Ponder who finished second and Carlton Freeman in third.

Michael Strickland won the race-shortened Open Wheel Modified feature event over Eddie Brannon in second and Clark Gary third.

Chris Yarbrough won in Thundercar action with Sam Hughes in second and Bobby Joe Robinson third.

Andy Davis won the Street Stock feature with Byron Madison winning in Hot Shots.

TST is back in action this Saturday Night September 3rd featuring a full racing program in all divisions. It’s also Kids Night with kids bike races and Merchants Night with Door Prizes to be given out. Also don’t forget to wear your favorite team gear as we have our annual College Football kickoff party where the best dressed Alabama fan and best dressed Auburn fan win a prize package.
