Nick Dickson Completes Successful 2011 Season

LEWISTON, PA (November 14) - Nick Dickson of Lewistown, PA and Nick Dickson Racing recently wrapped up their 2011 season at the $8,800 to win 'Ultimate' that was held at Hesston Speedway in Hesston, PA and sanctioned by the Unified Force (UFO) Race Championship tour. Unfortunately Nick was unable to qualify for the main event that had been previously held at Challenger Raceway.

After claiming a $2,000 win at Bedford Speedway on Labor Day weekend in September, Nick finished 15th with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, VA on September 16 and captured top ten finishes in the 'Winchester 200' at Winchester and the 'Waikiki Wave' at Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, MD. Dickson followed those finishes up with a 17th place run at Selinsgrove Speedway and a 15th place effort at the 'Raye Vest Memorial', again at Winchester Speedway.

'It was definitely an up and down year for us,' Dickson stated, 'we would get on a run where we had a few strong finishes together then we'd go through a stretch where we weren't that good at all. I wouldn't go as far as saying this was our best year but we made it through so there's not too much to complain about. We got through the Appalachian Speedweek deal again this year and made every show with those guys; things like that are what we can build on and use as momentum for next year.'

Dickson entered 39 events in 2011 ending the season with six top five's to go with his impressive 20 top ten finishes and two wins both recorded at Bedford Speedway.

'Just like every year, we'll use the off-season to rest, regroup, and get ready for next season,' Nick said. 'We'll wait for all of the schedules to start coming out for next year and look into what we want to do for 2012. We'll most likely stick to the same type of schedule we've had for the past few years.'
