3 State Flyers Ready for 2012 Season with Niningers Tire & Auto Point Championship 

The 3 State Flyers 2012 season promises to be the best in the series history with bigger payoffs and the return of Nininger Tire & Auto as point fund sponsor. The 2012 schedule includes 11 exciting events beginning with a doubleheader at Hesston and Bedford on Memorial Day weekend, leading to the Big Kahuna at Roaring Knob in September.
 
Niningers Tire & Auto has been a strong supporter of regional racing for decades and returns as the primary sponsor for 3 State Flyers in 2012. The Niningers Tire & Auto Point Championship will pay $3,000 to the winner in 2012.   The remaining positions of the point fund is based on completion of the scheduled events.

The 3 State Flyers season kicks off on Sunday Night May 27 with "Superthunder by the Lake" at Hesston Speedway. "Superthunder" will also be the blast off for Hesston's Speedmonster Super Series 5-event schedule.   This 51-lap race will pay $5,100 to win in honor of the track's 51st anniversary with $400 to start. Hesston will pay increased tow money of $150 at their events. The following night, Monday, May 28 3 State Flyers makes the 1st of 2 appearances at Bedford Speedway for a 35 lap event paying $3,000 to win and $300 to start. The proximity of Hesston and Bedford allow for a great $8,000 total to win weekend within a short distance for race teams.
 
The next pair of events moved to Virginia at East Side Speedway in Waynesboro and Natural Bridge Speedway at Natural Bridge. This will also allow for race teams to have a 2-race weekend within a 52 mile distance.   3 State Flyers will make its 1st-ever appearance at East Side on Friday night, June 22 paying $3,000 to win and $300 to start.   The series moves south to Natural Bridge on Saturday June 23 with a $3,500 to win event and $300 to start.
 
On Tuesday, July 3, the series returns to Hesston for "Revolution 2012" Hesston will pay strong payoffs at all of their Speedmonster Super Series events with this race also paying $5,100 to win, $400 to start and $150 tow money.  The feature distance is scheduled to go 55 laps at "Revolution 2012."
 
The first weekend in August is another doubleheader weekend with Thunder Valley Speedway hosting the "Laurel Highlands Classic" on Friday, August 3.   This race will pay $3,000 to win and $300 to start.. The following night the series returns to "Motor Mountain" at Hesston for the "Eriksen Grand Prix."   This will be a showdown between 3 State Flyers, Speedmonster and the ULMS series from the northern tier of PA.   The "Eriksen Grand Prix" will pay $4,100 to win, $400 to start and $150 tow.
 
The "Labor Day 55" will return to the Bedford Speedway on Friday, August 31.   This 3 State Flyers event will pay $5,055 to the winner. The 55 lap feature will be Bedford's biggest event of 2012.   On Sunday, September 2, Speedmosnter/3SF "Mega-Blitz Mach 3" at Hesston will feature a unique twin 30-lap format paying a total of $5,100 to win, $400 to start and $150 tow money.
 
3 State Flyers will conclude the 2012 season with a pair of events at Roaring Knob. The "King of the Knob" will pay $5,000 to win on Saturday, September 8. The 3 State Flyers season finale will be at Roaring Knob on September 28-29 as the "Big Kahuna" moves to its new home.   This 2-day event will pay $7,000 to win for a 66-lap feature, with a $1,000 to win non-qualifiers race.
 
Jason Covert of York Haven, PA is the defending 3-time champion of the 3 State Flyers. Covert won his 3rd championship in 2011 over JT Spence of Winchester, Va, Nick Dickson of Lewistown, PA, Scott LeBarron of Dover, PA and DJ Myers of Greencastle, PA.
