Ray Cook Captures Top Five in Tennessee Memorial Race; Preps for Green Valley

BRASSTOWN, NC (May 17) - The D&R Motorsports team and driver Ray Cook traveled to the historic Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee on Saturday night, May 12 for the 35th Annual 'Tennessee Memorial Race.' The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) once again presided over the storied race, which paid $3,500 to the winner. Ray qualified fourth quickest in SAS time trials and later rolled off from the outside of the second row in the 40-lap feature event. After running in the third spot through much of the distance, Ray brought home a solid fourth place performance in the caution-free event behind only winner Skip Arp, Billy Ogle, Jr., and William Thomas. Full results from Cleveland can be accessed by clicking on www.southernallstarsracingseries.com.

Ray and the #53 team will now turn their focus to another one-day show on Saturday evening, May 19 at the Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama. A $2,000 top prize will be on the line over the weekend at GVS. Ray picked up a similar $2,000 win at Green Valley back on April 21 driving the #27 machine for Joe Denby. Additional information on this unsanctioned program can be viewed by logging onto www.greenvalleyspeedway.com.
