Dickson Rebounds from Speedweek with Win at Hesston 

Lewistown, PA (June 12, 2012) - Nick Dickson of Lewistown, PA and Nick Dickson Racing competed with the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek presented by Harbaugh Amusement to open the month of June.  The mini-series had stops at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway, Winchester (VA) Speedway, Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA, and Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA.
 
After a rainout at Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville, PA on Friday, June 1, Nick's speedweek started on Saturday, June 2 at Hagerstown Speedway but ended early when he pulled off the speedway around the half-way point relegating him to an 18th place finish.  The next two nights, the tour ventured to Winchester Speedway and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex where Dickson was unable to crack either A-Main lineup.
 
Another rainout on Tuesday, June 5 at Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, PA sent Nick and the speedweek tour to the $7,000 to-win finale at Lincoln Speedway where Nick led a good portion of the feature event before Speedweek Champion Tim McCreadie found his way around him.  Nick held on for a very solid second place finish and a little redemption.  'We had a terrible speedweek,' Nick said, 'but to run second at Lincoln behind someone like (Tim) McCreadie; we'll take it.'
 
The team took a few days off to regroup before entering the rescheduled, $5,100 to-win, Three State Flyers sanctioned event at Hesston Speedway in Hesston, PA. After starting the 51 lap event in the 15th slot, Nick's Dickson's Custom Exhaust, Dickson's Alignment, Speedwrapz, Hershey Racing Engines, JNJ Motorsports Media sponsored #17 Mastersbilt by Huey came to a stop on lap two sending him to the tail of the field for the restart.  Dickson began to patiently and methodically work his way through the field and found himself in the fourth position by lap 30.  Nick worked his way past leader Gregg Satterlee on lap 47 and went on to the win, his third of the season.
 
Nick will be in action this upcoming Saturday, June 16 at Hagerstown Speedway for a $10,000 to-win, World of Outlaws Late Models Series sanctioned event and next Saturday, June 23 also at Hagerstown Speedway for a regular show.
