Marcouiller captures ALMS victory at Oakshade Raceway

WAUSEON, OH (June 16) - Dona Marcoullier racked up his second consecutive Oakshade Raceway feature win of the year on Saturday’s Leupp Outdoor Equipment Night. The win also netted him a $2,000 pay out as it was an American Late Model Series (ALMS) race.

Curtis Roberts from Coleman, Michigan took the early lead in the 30-lap ALMS feature until Casey Noonan took over on lap four. Roberts would retire to the pits with mechanical issues before the finish of the race.

Marcoullier charged to the front and became the leader by lap nine and never looked back. A couple caution periods kept Marcoullier from getting too far away from ALMS point leader Brian Ruhlman who was running second. It was the second win in as many weeks for the Houghton Lake, Michigan driver. Ruhlman maintained his ALMS point lead with a second place finish with Rusty Schlenk taking third. Dan Wallace had a strong run to end up fourth after starting ninth. Noonan slipped back to finish fifth.
