Linville, Bailey, and Grant Take Checkered Flags at Ponderosa Speedway

Junction City, KY-June 22, 2012- After a two week layoff, Ponderosa Speedway would return to action on Friday evening and feature event winners would include Dustin Linville of Lancaster, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY in Clayton Homes Modifieds, and Bartley Grant of Berea, KY in Ken Towerys Auto and Tire Care Sportsman.

Dustin Linville and Dustin Neat would bring the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Model feature to the green flag, with Linville taking the race lead and leading the entire distance.  Linville would survive three early race cautions and some lapped traffic late in the event to score the win.  Linvilles victory would come aboard the Terry Linville owned 4B Motorsports/Weld Shop/Maco Service Company/Fast Wax/Wicked Racing Supply/Graphic Impressions/Paul Benton Auto Body/Pinetop Motors/Puckett Automotive/McElliott Trucking/G.A. Parsons/Hawkeye Trucking/JumpStart Communications/Bruce and Vicki Barnes/Linvilles Finish Carpentry/Cookie Monster Power Plants/Hoosier Tire/DJ Safety sponsored #D8 Swartz Race Car powered by a Bullock Race Engine.  Dustin Neat would take second, with Todd Coffman make a late race rally for third.  Jeremy Hines and Justin Rattliff completed the top five.  The remainder of the top ten would be James Rice, P.J. Feistritzer, Jeff Watson, David Webb, and Tommy Bailey.  Twenty entries would see Linville be the top qualifier at 13.776 seconds, while Country 100.9 MIKE FM heats were won by Linville, Neat, and Victor Lee.

The 20 lap Modified feature would see Michael England lead until he and Tommy Bailey began a side-by-side duel for the lead on lap 11 and Bailey would make what would be the winning pass on lap 14 and drive to the victory in the Matthew and Kenneth Jordan owned Jordan Motorsports/Mac Trac Transportation/Micro Armor Lubricants/Wayne Bowen Racing Supply/Lakeside Towing/Diamond Auto Collision sponsored #17J Lightning Chassis, Niebel Race Engines powered mount.  England would take second, with Jacoby Hines, Elliott Despain, and Cy Cundiff rounding out the top five.  Completing the top ten were Don Adams, Kevin Nesselhauf, Dion Benningfield, Shane McKenney, and Mike Daut.  Fourteen entries would see England be top qualifier at 14.945 seconds, while Smith Automotive Machine Shop heats were taken by England and Bailey.

Bartley Grant led all 15 laps of the Ken Towerys Auto and Tire Care Sportsman to take his first win of the season in the Tori Grant owned Cookie Monster Power Plants/Double J/Smoke House Grill/Climax Horse Camp/B-Cool Window Tinting/The Muffler Shop/Browning Trucking/Wilburn Custom Guitars/Copper Creek Welding sponsored #1 entry.  Glen Hounshell, Jr., Gerald Haynes, Jr., Donnie Sullivan, and Derek Bottoms completed the top five.  Nine entries would see Grant be top qualifier at 16.318 seconds, while Hounshell, Jr. was the Central Painting heat winner.
