Newberrytown, PA (August 18, 2012) – Dover's J.R. Rodriguez collected his second Late Model feature win in a row by claiming the 25 lapper on Saturday Night at the Susquehanna Speedway Park.  Doug Bennett of Chambersburg collected his seventh win of the season claiming the 20-lap Street Stock feature.  Lewisberry’s Adam Smith also won his second consecutive Xtreme Stock Car feature of the season as well.  Carlisle’s Curt McDade won the Road Warrior 10-lapper.  Anthony Roberts of Mt. The 25-lap Late Model feature began with the polesitter Billy Wampler taking the lead at the start. With John Moser Jr, Carl Billet, J.R. Rodriguez and Chase Billet very close behind the leader, the top spot was all within their sights.  Wampler held a steady lead with a wild scramble behind him for the runner-up spot.  With 10 laps to go, Carl Billet moved into the runner-up spot with Moser in third.  On lap 18, Billet moved under Wampler for the lead coming out of turn two.  A lap later, Rodriguez and Chase Billet moved into second and third respectively.  With two laps to go, Rodriguez drive by Carl Billet on the outside to claim the top spot.  The caution flag flew on lap 24, setting up a one-lap shoot-out for the victory.  On the restart, Rodriguez held on to the lead with Carl Billet challenging.  At the end, Rodriguez held on by two car lengths over Carl Billet.  Justin Ehrhart made a late race charge from a tenth place starting position to claim third sport over Chase Billet in fourth.  Ehrhart also claimed an additional $25.00 for the JR’s Paving Hard Charger award.  Billy Wampler rounded out the top five.  Carl Billet, Eric Irwin and Rodriguez were the heat race victors.

From the front row, Doug Bennett took the early lead of the caution-filled Street Stock 20-lapper.  Mike Zeigler Jr. took the top spot away from Bennett on lap 12.  On lap 14, Bennett regained the top spot.  Zeigler made a hard charge to the outside to of turn three but jumped the cushion and hit the wall, retiring him from the event.  After going to the pits early, Randy Zechman made his way back up tot the runner-up spot but was unable to catch Bennett at the end, who collected his seventh feature win of the season. Jasen Geesaman finished third behind Zechman with Jim Palm Jr. and Jake Moser rounding out the top five.   Gary Potts and Geesaman were heat race winners.

In the 20-lap Xtreme Stock Car feature event, Chad Stine took the lead from the second position.  On lap 8, Stine retired from the race with a broken driveshaft, giving the lead to last week’s feature winner Adam Smith who started the race in sixth position.  Once in the lead, Smith went on to win the feature over Patrick McClane.  Tim Hahn and Dave Kamp finished close behind in third and fourth respectively.  Donnie Broderick rounded out the top five.  Smith was also the Madison House hard charger moving up five spots to pick up the award.  Heat races were claimed by Broderick and Hahn.
