McGuire scores $3,000 AMRA Late Model victory at Skyline Speedway

STEWART, OHIO-One of the largest crowds in recent years turned out to honor a very special lady as part of "The Sarah Bond Big Three" in memory of Sarah Bond, wife of long time Ohio Valley racing legend Ronnie Bond. Claiming the win in the exciting 40-lap AMRA Late Model A-main was Grayson, KY driver "Bad Fast" Josh McGuire, while Cole Duncan, Lockborne, OH claimed the win in the 30-lap Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association main, and Kenny "Worth the Price of Admission" Johnson, two-time defending MALTA AMRA Champion blitzed from 12th to 1st in the AMRA Modified Main. Cole Mayle claimed the WRA Little 3 with sponsorship from the Bond Family and friend of Racing Ben Ayers.

Pryor to the races, a moment of silence was held in memory of Sarah Bond and Larry Bond, Andy Bond, Kyle Bond and Patriarch Ronnie Bond brought out the four Bond entries to the front chute for a 4-car family tribute.

Another Grayson, KY driver Jackie Boggs in his familiar #4B joined pole-sitter Rick Williams' Pro-Power #12 on the front row of the first $3,000 to win main event. Williams jumped into the lead, but quickly Boggs blitzed the inside groove with a cross over move to take the lead. Boggs moved up to the middle groove where the track began to take rubber and started to pull away from the pack with Williams securely in second.

Meanwhile, McGuire struggled to get going as did much of the potent 18-car field. Boggs quickly raced into traffic and had nearly lapped the 12th place car of Racin' Jason Montgomery when the caution flag waved on lap for K-C Burdette and Freddie Carpenter who tangled after Burdette snagged an infield uke tire and lost his steering.

At the time it was Boggs, Williams, Travis Brookover, McGuire, and fast timer Tyler Carpenter. On the restart McGuire leaped past Brookover, but Brookover fought back as Williams gave Boggs a brief run for the top spot. A lap later McGuire shook Brookover and in one swift blitz blasted by Williams for second. McGuire and Boggs then battle a couple more laps side by side to lap twenty with McGuire took over and began to stretch it out to the checkered.

Rounding out the top ten were Josh McGuire, Jackie Boggs, Ricky Williams, Travis Brookover, Chris Garnes, Tyler Carpenter, Tim Dohm, Ralph Withem, Greg Oliver, and Jason Montgomery. In the Late Models Jason Montgomery was the hard charger moving up five positions from 15th to 10th.
