Ehrhart Claims Third Win of the Season at Susquehanna Speedway Park

Newberrytown, PA (August 25, 2012) – Dover's Justin Ehrhart collected his third Late Model feature of 2012 by winning the 25 lapper on Saturday Night at the Susquehanna Speedway Park.  Mike Zeigler Jr. of Thomasville won his third feature of the season claiming the 20-lap Street Stock race.  New Cumberland’s Cameron Benyou also won his second Xtreme Stock Car feature of the season.  Carlisle’s Curt McDade won the Road Warrior 10-lapper.  Zakari Kitner of York Haven won the Pro Sign & Design Mini Van feature.  Aaron Brommer continued his two year unbeaten streak in the PENNMAR Vintage Cars.  Each winning driver was recognize din victory lane as part of the A.R.C.H. (Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown) Night at he races.  The evening was also part of the national series known as “Wix Filters 100 Nights of Racing.”
 
The 25-lap Late Model feature began with the polesitter Steve Billet taking the lead at the start. After a few caution flag periods early in the race, Justin Ehrhart moved in the runner-up on lap three and into the lead on the fourth circuit.   Through the middle stage of the race, Ehrhart was pursued by a “Band of Billets,” Carl, Chase and Steve.  Unable to take the top spot away, Ehrhart continued to lead towards the waning stages of racing.  At the finish, Ehrhart claimed the win over Carl Billet who finished close behind.  J.R. Rodriguez took third place and claimed an additional $25.00 for the JR’s Paving Hard Charger award.  Chase Billet finished solidly in fourth with Bud Witmer rounding out the top five.  Carl Billet, Randy Chrisitne Jr. and Ehrhart were the heat race victors.  
 
From the front row, Mike Zeigler Jr. took the early lead of the Street Stock 20-lapper.  Scott Thunberg started in 12th and moved into the runner-up spot past Jasen Geesaman on lap 12.  Thunberg tried to make the pass for the lead towards the end of the race but had to settle for second behind Zeigler at the end.  Randy Zechman finished third with Geesaman in fourth.  Dan Furman rounded out the top five.  Mike Walls, Matt Wampler and Brian Rehbein were heat race winners.
 
In the 20-lap Xtreme Stock Car feature event, Cameron Benyou Stine took the lead from the front row and never looked back to win the race which saw only one caution.  In a four car battle for second, Patrick McClane claimed the runner-up spot behind Benyou.  McClane was also the Madison House hard charger moving up eight spots from a tenth place starting spot.  Tim Hahn finished third, followed by Donnie Broderick and Adam Smith rounding out the top five.  The heat race was won by Hahn.
 
Anthony Roberts took the lead on the start of the 10-lap Pro Sign & Design Mini Van feature.  Zakari Kitner took the top spot away on the eighth circuit.  Roberts tried to regain the top spot but was unable to make the winning move and seetled for second by a car-length at the finish behind Kitner. Jeremy Haines finished third Donnie Groff coming across the line in fourth.  Kitner won the heat race.  
 
In the 10-lap Road Warrior feature, Curt McDade led from start to finish and took the win over Adam Peters for the second straight week.  Gary Grim finished third, followed by Brian Lefebvre and Dennis Dorosz.  Jason Funk won his heat race.
